The potential bets and their implications

Betting on a game extends beyond predicting the winner, offering a diverse range of options. While this variety adds excitement, it might be overwhelming for those new to sports betting. In this section, we'll delve into different bet types and their meanings, ensuring both beginners and experienced bettors can fully appreciate the diversity and flexibility provided by SmartBetbot.

Full Time Result

Betting on the Full Time Result involves predicting the game's outcome, excluding overtime.

The numbers 1 and 2 represent the teams as listed at the top of the betting screen. In the example, Tottenham is (1), and Chelsea is (2). Placing a bet on (1) means betting on the first team (Tottenham), (2) on the second team (Chelsea), and (X) on a Draw/Tie.

It's important to note that Full Time Result doesn't include overtime, shootouts, or penalty shots. For instance, if the Full Time ends in a draw, and team (1) wins in overtime, a bet on Full Time Result (1) would not win, while a bet on Full Time Result (X) would be successful since Full Time ended in a draw.

Double Chance

Double chance is a betting option that allows you to bet on two different outcomes with a single bet. If the game results in either of the specified outcomes, the bet is a winner.

Similar to Full Time Result bets, (1) and (2) correspond to the first and second teams in the order listed at the top, and (X) represents a Draw. However, in Double Chance bets, two outcomes are combined in one bet:

  • (1X) wins if team 1 wins or draws

  • (2X) wins if team 2 wins or draws

  • (12) wins if either team 1 or team 2 wins.

Handicap

A Handicap involves adding or deducting a specific number of points or goals from a team's score. Typically, favorites carry a negative (-) handicap, while underdogs have a positive (+) handicap. Positive handicaps may be displayed without a (+) on Smart Bet Bot.

  • H1 is a bet on the handicap for team 1, and H2 is a bet on the handicap for team 2.

  • For a bet on a negative (-) handicap to succeed, the team must win by more than that number of points or goals.

    • For example, a bet on (H1 -1.5) means that team 1 has to win by more than 1.5 goals to win the bet. It's like the team starting the game with a deficit of -1.5 goals; to win, they need to score at least 2 more goals than their opponent.

  • For a bet on a positive (+) handicap to succeed, the team must not lose by more than that number of points or goals.

    • For instance, a bet on (H2 1.5) means that team 2 cannot lose by more than 1.5 goals to win the bet. It's as if the team starts the game with a head start of 1.5 goals; to win, they need to score more goals, the same number of goals, or one goal less than their opponent.

Total Goals

A Total Goals bet is a prediction on whether the combined number of goals from both teams will be over or under a specified number. It doesn't matter if one team scores or both; only the total goals in the game are considered.

  • Over 2.5 wins if 3 or more goals are scored between the two teams.

    • This bet succeeds with final scores like 3-0, 2-1, 1-2, 2-2, or any other combination totaling 3 or more.

    • It loses with final scores totaling less than 3.

  • Under 2.5 wins if 2 goals or fewer are scored between the two teams.

    • This bet succeeds with final scores like 2-0, 1-1, 1-0, 0-0, or any other combination totaling 2 or less.

    • It loses with final scores totaling more than 2.

Both Teams To Score

A wager on (Yes) is successful if both teams score at least one goal in the game. Conversely, if only one team scores or neither team scores, a bet on (No) emerges as the winning option.

Handicap Corners

Handicap Corners is essentially a bet on the disparity in the number of Corner Kicks between one team and the other during the game.

The handicaps operate similarly to when betting on the final score of a game, but in this case, it pertains to the number of corner kicks rather than goals.

  • (H1 -0.5) succeeds if team 1 has at least one more corner kick in the game than team 2.

  • (H1 -1.5) succeeds if team 1 has at least two more corner kicks in the game than team 2.

  • (H2 0.5) succeeds if team 2 has the same number of corner kicks as team 1 or more corner kicks than team 1.

  • (H2 1.5) succeeds if team 2 has two or fewer corner kicks less than team 1.

Team Total Goals

Team 1 - Total Goals' and 'Team 2 - Total Goals' are straightforward bets on whether the specific team will score more or fewer goals than the specified number.

  • Team 1 - Total Goals (Over 1.5) wins if Team 1 scores two or more goals, regardless of how many goals Team 2 scores.

  • Team 1 - Total Goals (Under 1.5) wins if Team 1 scores one goal or no goals, regardless of how many goals Team 2 scores.

The same principle applies to 'Team 2 - Total Goals,' except it focuses on Team 2's goal count, regardless of how many goals Team 1 scores.

1st Half Bets

1st Half - Winner, 1st Half - Double Chance, 1st Half - Total Corners, 1st Half - Team - Total Goals, and 1st Half - Both Teams to Score are identical to their equivalent full-game bets, but they pertain to the outcomes at the conclusion of the first half of the game. 1st Half - Either Team To Score is a simple bet on whether either team will score in the first half.
